Open Question: What should I do with a broken ring of sentimental value?
I have a gold signet ring which is broken. It wasn’t expensive or anything - just from Argos - so not great or anything quality either. My granny bought it for me when I was about 15, the final Christmas before she died.

If it was just any old ring, I’d probably sell it for scrap or something, but it’s got sentimental value because my granny gave it to me. So I’m wondering what to do with it?

Obviously I can just keep it as it is, but I’m worried that it’ll end up getting lost or something.

I toyed with selling it for scrap and then using the money to buy something else to remember my granny by - but that doesn’t seem right, and anyway, I’d hardly get much for it, so I’d be buying something tiny in the end!

I also thought about getting it made into a pendant or something. Does anyone know how much that costs and how to get it done?

Or does anyone have any other ideas?
